Great Blue Photography


My name is Pieter de Groot, I am a Dutch underwater photographer and PADI Master instructor.

After spending a small decade diving the Dutch Caribbean I settled in the beautiful city of Utrecht from where I run my photography business.


I have been a dive instructor since 2017 and since I got my first underwater camera in 2018 I immediately fell in love with photography.


After a few years where practically all my dives where accompanied with my camera I decided to switch careers in 2022 and started Great Blue Photography.


The goal of my company is to assist diveshops with underwater images, coaching and training divers to improve their camera skills and to document the underwater world through my lens.
